As a serial napper (I used to work 5a-2p) I’m surprised at how much I’ve continued to nap despite getting 8+ hours of sleep a night. I’m in my 2nd month away from work and just now starting to feel well rested on a consistent basis. Still, the combo of sleep-debt and less daylight means slow going. Congrats on your 2nd year!

All very true. I experienced everything except #2. I was disturbed when I experienced retirement disenchantment. Being confused, unhappy and feeling like I flunked what everyone dreams of, put stress on my marriage. Fortunately, after conducting a self-inventory, I kicked off what’s become a successful Retirement 2.0. All the best in your quest

That’s great to hear! (I mean Retirement 2.0). I was surprised at how disenchanted I was too. It’s like going on a vacation and then realizing your expectations of self-actualization were not really achievable no matter how much gelato Julia Roberts ate in that movie.
